Front Desk Job Description:

Position Overview:Baltimore Pickleball Club is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Staff member. This part-time position involves being the first point of contact for our members, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, facilitating check-ins, promoting pro shop merchandise, and managing our snack bar. The Front Desk Staff will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our pickleball community and contributing to the overall success of our indoor facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome members, guests, and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Efficiently manage member check-ins, ensuring accurate registration and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with pickleball professionals to provide guidance and assistance to members looking to purchase equipment and accessories from the pro shop.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pro shop display, restocking merchandise as needed.
  • Operate the snack bar, serving drinks and pre-packaged snacks to members and visitors.
  • Ensure the snack bar area is clean, well-stocked, and adheres to health and safety standards.
  • Assist in handling inquiries, providing information about membership options, facility amenities, and upcoming events.
  • Effectively handle customer feedback, inquiries, and concerns, aiming to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Keep accurate records of daily transactions, sales, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and a positive member experience.
  • Adhere to the club's policies and procedures, including public health safety protocols.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude, fostering a sense of community among members.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
  • Prior experience in customer service or retail settings is a plus.
  • Familiarity with pickleball and its equipment is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation:This is a part-time position paid on an hourly basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
